Okay this is a story of love, lost, losing yourself, and finding out that sometime we don’t know where we will end. Ok so now on the to the story I can’t say that I loved this story because there is so much going on that you cannot miss a thing.
The writing itself was really good it was more of the content for me that made me rethink my feelings for this story. I could not keep up with what was going on with the story. This was really a hard story for me to rate because as much as I loved the writing I just couldn’t keep pace with it. The story was very fast paced and gave us the look of four couples and how their lives eventually intermingled together. There is some characters build up and a story line that will keep you asking “what just happened” . The four couples. One thing about this book is there are some very steamy scenes in it. This book lacks for nothing in the hot department.
If you love a face paced, steamy yet full of drama read then this is the book for you. There are triggers in this book so if you have an aversion to cheating or any of the others then this is not the book for you. Ms.Bowie writing like I said was very good and if given the chance I would give her books another chance .

Behind the Closed Door is a multi character story with many twists and turns. Emily Bowie has a tone in her writing that keeps you on the edge of your seat, you just always feel a bit uneasy. Each couple had very interesting stories and their crossover stories were very creative, seamless and added to the unease she creates. I can't give ANYTHING away, but I will say everyone gets what they deserve, some get more as they make deals with the devil. This is the second book by Emily Bowie that I've read, the first was The Allure of the O'Neal Sisters, they both have a perfect mix of mystery, intrigue, the sex is hot and steamy and each character is fully developed. The transition between the couples and their inner connected stories keeps you reading page after page, I read this straight through into the wee morning hours. The ending is left in an interesting way. It could be just as is or...there could be a sequel. I'm not sure which way it will go, but I didn't feel let down, it leaves you imagining the next chapter for the characters. Loved it.

This was different for me. I had not read anything by this author before and did not know what to expect.
When I first started reading it, it was difficult for me to keep up with it. I wasn’t sure the direction the story was going, I just thought that the author was writing a bunch of different stories in one book.
I was going to stop reading it, but then I really wanted to see what happens. The main reason I was going to stop reading, was because there is cheating in it, but then you discover that Cole, who is the husband who cheats, well his wife is a nut case so I understood why he did what he did. No, it wasn’t right, but who am I to judge.
There are a several different stories that happen, but in the end, they all start to come together. It was very interesting to see how it was all done by the author, very creative.
The sexy side of the book was OFF THE CHARTS. So if you are looking for a story that goes into all different kinds of directions to where at one point I was going to have to do a spread sheet to keep up with all the character, but it did start to come together and I understood it… this book is for you. Just as long as you can handle some triggers that people complain about… “cheating” being the big one… and please… if I can handle it… it can’t be that bad.

After reading the blurb for this book and talking with the Author I was intrigued to say the least and couldn't wait to dive into this book. There was something about the whole aspect of 3 couples all coming together to make one book that called to me and I wasn't left disappointed. The authors writing is captivating and made me want to read quicker than my brain could absorb what was written on the pages.
So we start with 3 couples and their stories are great
Couple 1 ~ Roco and Glenda they seem to be the perfect couple. In love 2 great daughters and a nice family home. However Roco wants more he would love a son, but this would change the dynamics of the perfect life they have.
Couple 2 ~ Ethan and Summer they show the world that they are the perfect couple but this dosnt seem to be the case.Summer is a Lawyer, Ethan is a doctor and their 17 year old daughter Rose.
Couple 3 ~ Cole and Giada, Giada is a stay at home mum taking care of the toddler son and Cole has a job that takes him away from home and gives him the opportunity to cheat on multiple occasions.
When these couples lifes crash together their final story is insatiable. With lies, deceit, friendship and love all being thrown around you will be kept dangling from their web just waiting for the explosion.
